The gel ink is wetter than a conventional ball pen refill and writes more smoothly on paper. The gel also provides a stronger colour of ink; look at the difference between the black gel finish and the black ball pen finish if you need convincing. What a shame they discontinued the purple in this range! The gel inks are sold as singles and we find they will last approximately one month with average use.
